Trees of Transition

Planting seeds of hope throughout our world through sharing photography and thoughts on teaching, cooking, and life transitions.

Summer Murk

The squish of muck between my toes
reminds me of childhood summers.
Of hours in the pond,
our fingerpads crinkling like raisins, mud in our hair from slime fights, and appetites on high from laughing, splashing, swimming so much.
Black-eyed Susans waving yellow and black on their stalks along the bank.
Deep blue sky, humidity that drove us to the pond, to bob and bounce. Buoyant, beaming faces glistening with murky pond water.

Hello Friends, A curious, kind, practical, and energetic writer, wife, mother, and teacher is one way to describe me. I enjoy thinking about transitions--in schools, churches, families, relationships, and even countries. I'm passionate about learning, and I love working with people. Stop by often to see which kind of transition I'm thinking about, and I would appreciate hearing your thoughts. Peace! ~Mary Hope
