Trees of Transition

Planting seeds of hope throughout our world through sharing photography and thoughts on teaching, cooking, and life transitions.

I’m Going to Follow You Because You’re Happy!

I love the design aspect the writer of the message “Do Not Follow” took on this truck I was behind a bit yesterday. The writer tried to soften the message by starring it on either side AND the best part is the smiley face (complete with a nose!) underneath. Seeing that smiley face made me ponder and…

That smiley face made me WANT to follow the truck more! It was for my own good not to follow that truck (so that I don’t end up at a delivery dock or a place I’m not supposed to be), but how the writer delivered the message made me happy.

Here’s a challenge: Deliver even hard messages in a kind way today…it will brighten your day.

Hello Friends, A curious, kind, practical, and energetic writer, wife, mother, and teacher is one way to describe me. I enjoy thinking about transitions--in schools, churches, families, relationships, and even countries. I'm passionate about learning, and I love working with people. Stop by often to see which kind of transition I'm thinking about, and I would appreciate hearing your thoughts. Peace! ~Mary Hope

  1. Oh, its so true happy people lift us up, but I would never want to a fair weather friend, life is not a bowl of cherries. Enjoyed the post!

  2. I am always laughing when I see those signs. What can you do, when you have the same way???

  3. Indeed, the driver has a softer side! Cute!
I also smile when they’ve got a teddy bear or something tied to the truck… I never really understood why but I get a chuckle out of it!
