Trees of Transition

Planting seeds of hope throughout our world through sharing photography and thoughts on teaching, cooking, and life transitions.

Be Open to the Surprises

How are you going to enjoy this season of your life?
In the Northern hemisphere, it’s almost summer, with watermelon, trips to dance in the waves, and sitting around campfires.

We forget the inches of ice that used to sit around in piles, months on end in winter.
Now we can soak in the warmth, and there’s so many possibilities, many places to go.
Here’s my point: Enjoy this season, weather it is icy or warm, and be open to wonderful surprises that could open if you are willing to take the risk…

Hello Friends, A curious, kind, practical, and energetic writer, wife, mother, and teacher is one way to describe me. I enjoy thinking about transitions--in schools, churches, families, relationships, and even countries. I'm passionate about learning, and I love working with people. Stop by often to see which kind of transition I'm thinking about, and I would appreciate hearing your thoughts. Peace! ~Mary Hope

  1. What a beautiful photo! It’s true that once spring comes, we forget about the winter!
    Happy Saturday!

  2. Amen. I’ll “second that!” ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s true, we must always be open to surprises and enjoy every season in which we find ourselves. If we constantly complain about or wish away that particular season, we can very well miss out on some wonderful experiences and much needed lessons along the way! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing!
