Swirls and Other Spring Colors

The transition between winter and spring sometimes takes a long time, so photos help me remember what spring its like. Here are some shots from last spring. The paints were from when I was painting with my junior high students. We connected over art several times, and when we painted, we all relaxed more. Lilac Heaven! Lilacia Park

If you don’t get a chance to come to Chicago land and see Lilacia Park yourself, when my husband and I visited it last Sunday, I shot some photos to share with you:

This park, filled with dozens of different types of lilacs, shouts, “Spring is HERE!!” I loved stopping and smelling the flowers. Lilacs remind me of both of the farms I grew up on because we had huge lilac bushes that we would pick blooms from each spring. The Animal Hospital’s Tulips

I clean an animal hospital twice a week, and for about two weeks now, these tulips have caught my eye as I pulled in. On Wednesday I took the time to walk over and enjoy them close up! Now I get to share them with you. Notice how deep the red is–it has a blue side to it, and this shade of red rushes my heart with joy.
